Are you looking for some of the finest golf courses in Nice to complete your luxurious holiday? Look no further, as you're in the right spot!

France might not sound like a golfing country. However, with its sunny weather and beautiful climate, the French Riviera is the best choice for this amazing sport! This is why you can find plenty of golf courses here.

Both locals and visitors have plenty of reasons to enjoy some of the best professional and practice courses in this part of Continental Europe, and many of them are found in Nice and nearby regions.

So, without further ado, here are some of the best golf courses Nice offers:

Best Golf Courses In Nice

With fewer rainy days than most of France, Nice is a perfect spot for a round of golf.

From the famous Marina Golf Club, which offers great training grounds and wide courses, to the Golf Country Club de Nice, this part of the French Riviera truly has a lot to offer.

However, most of the best golf courses aren't actually in Nice but are a few minutes' drive away from it, combining the best of modern architecture and a hilly region to provide you with an amazing golfing experience.

To help everyone out, I have compiled a list of some of the local's favorite golf courses in Nice and made a list of some of the best features they sport.

Here are the three that truly stand out from the rest:

1. Golf Country Club de Nice

Address: 698 Bd du Mercantour, 06200 Nice, France

The Golf Country Club de Nice prides itself in being the only golf course actually located in Nice. This gives it a big advantage among visitors, who love the convenience this court brings.

All club members are invited to take part in golfing and party events. The said golf club commonly organizes and creates a 'club spirit'.

The course offers a range of different holes and obstacles, such as water hazards and bunkers. This will help keep the game fun and enthusiastic, no matter how long it might take you to complete the course.

The driving range poses as training grounds for all novice players who are yet to get the necessary experience and continue onto the course itself.

Lastly, the cozy clubhouse serves as a great place to relax and chat after a game. You can keep yourself warm in winter months in front of the fireplace, refresh yourself with a few drinks at the bar, or if it's summer, enjoy the sun on the terrace.

2. Golf de Biot

Address: 1379, Route d´Antibes, France

Located just 25 minutes from the Nice airport and designed by James Peter Gannon and Percy Boomer, Golf de Biot is another popular location in Nice.

Not only that, but this is one of the oldest golf courses in the region, as it was created in 1930 under the name Golf de la Bastide du Roy. As time passed, the course changed its name to fit the local city of glassmakers, Biot.

When you take its age into account, it's no wonder this course has a rather unique rustic feel to it. Two local rivers, the Brague and the Valmasque, serve as impressive natural obstacles that will make golfing feel like a true adventure.

It has a somewhat higher green fee than other courses on this list, but most people would agree that this is a fair price for all the amenities the location offers.

This includes a wide driving range where you can practice your chipping greens, an 18-hole golf course, and a putting green.

You can also find a restaurant, La Bastide du Roy, with a wide variety of seasonal foods, an outdoor bar, and a pro shop where you can buy any equipment you might need.

3. Golf Degli Ulivi Sanremo

Address: Via Campo Golf, 59, Italy

Yes, I know this course is technically in Italy. However, as it's only a short drive away from Nice, I felt like I had to include it in this list.

Also known as the Golf Club of Olives, Golf Degli Ulivi Sanremo provides a unique golfing experience for all players.

Located in the area where the sea and mountains merge, this course utilizes natural landscape as its strength, providing you with some of the most exciting holes you've ever seen.

The Sanremo Golf Academy is a great training ground for those still learning about golf, and the instructors invite everyone to come and join the classes, no matter their skill level.

Not only that but you will also be instructed by Donato Di Ponziano, who is named “Hall of Fame” of the Italian PGA.

This 18-hole 69-par course is also a common host to many golfing events. In May 2024, it hosted the French Cup!

So, while technically not a golf course in Nice but in a local area, I just feel like I couldn't exclude it and allow anyone to miss out on this amazing experience.
